Serve Day 2024

Saturday Sept 28th we are doing a church wide Serve Day. On this day we as a church will organize different projects around Oconee County to meet the needs of those around us. As a church we will use $15,000 to bless those around us. This is a unique opportunity to serve those around us in generous ways. There is opportunities for all ages and all are welcome to join. 



We will meet at the church at 7:45am for breakfast and have a brief informational meeting the day at 8am. Following the meeting you will have a chance to pick the project you wish to be a part of for the day.
Project 1 - Removing Brush pile for family. 
Bring: work gloves and clothes, chainsaws, shovels, rakes, waterbottle.
Great for: Kids, teens, adults
Project 2 - Drywall and flooring repair for family. 
Bring: Tools will be provided
Great for: Adults (at most 4 adults)
Project 3 - Waterline repair 
Bring: work gloves and clothes, waterbottle
Great for: Kids, teens, adults, seniors.
Project 4 - Freezer meal prep for families in need.
Bring:

Project 5 - Fair Oak Youth Center concessions cleaning.
Bring: work clothes, water bottle
Great for: kids, teens, adults, seniors
Project 6 - Yard work and minor house repairs
Bring: rakes and work gloves, water bottle
Good for: kids, teens, adults, seniors
Project 7 - Yard maintenance, weed eating, yard clean up.
Bring: Work gloves and clothes, weed eaters, chainsaws, waterbottle

Questions you may have:
  • What should I wear? Plan to wear clothes that you can get dirty!
  • What should I bring? Work gloves, yard or landscaping tools.
    (***When projects get posted you can look at suggested supplies to bring)
  • What time does Serve Day end? Most projects will be completed by 3pm.
  • How does picking a project work? Following the meeting at the church, you will be able to pick a project to attend for that day.
  • Can kids join? Absolutely! Just be mindful of the project you pick so they can participate if you so choose.
  • Will I have to drive to the project? Most likely, yes. All of our projects will be local but they will need to be driven to following the 8am informational meeting.
